On the last Friday of every month, SafetyChain, a leading provider of food safety and quality assurance automation and compliance solutions, hosts FSMA Fridays™, the leading online forum for the food and beverage community to learn the latest information about the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). Featuring Dr. David Acheson, the popular monthly interactive pod/webcast is sponsored by SafetyChain Software and The Acheson Group.
Jill: Welcome to FSMA Fridays, presented with Safety Chain Software and the Acheson Group. Today's topic is quite exciting, lots to talk about. It will be focused on the second review cycles, part one. We're going to do part one and part two, and talk about this in October as well, but today's session will be focused on the preventive controls for human food that did come out today (September 26, 2014).
For today's session, I'm delighted to have David Acheson with us, as well as Jennifer McEntire, and I say let's just go ahead and get started. David, why don't you share with us the certainly substantial news that's come out regarding the latest updates with FSMA.
