The PMMI Possibilities in Packaging Innovation at FMI Connect 2014 will bring food packaging buyers and suppliers together in hopes of creating solutions to the industry’s most important issues
International Paper will be sponsoring a special portion of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) Connect 2014 conference scheduled for June 10 through 13 at Chicago's McCormick Place. The PMMI (The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies) Possibilities in Packaging Innovation Pavilion will be held during the conference and focus on solutions for future retail packaging.
This is very encouraging for buyers as they will have the opportunity to gain valuable information from suppliers, like International Paper, offering presentations that showcase the latest news in the packaging world. One-on-one conversations will be scheduled between buyers and sellers to more directly inform buyers of the benefits of sustainable packaging, along with bringing them up to speed with the most recent packaging technologies.
FMI Connect is a conference that takes a brainstorming-approach to packaging and is expected to draw nearly 15,000 food-focused firms. Retailers, Wholesalers, even trading partners will come together to think about and develop plans to overcome the hurdles the packaging industry is currently facing. Some of the bigger challenges the industry is up against include: ensuring customers receive high quality products, creating packaging that is produced in sustainable ways and can be recycled, with cost-efficiency driving both of those issues.
The PMMI Possibilities in Packaging Innovation Pavilion will showcase presentations from information and research centers. These presentations are designed to lend insight and give advice to those companies attending. All facets of the supply-chain benefit from effective packaging solutions, making this conference very important to those firms staying on the cutting-edge of packaging design and functionality.
The packaging industry is continuously evolving and consumers are becoming more demanding of eco-friendly containers for their favorite products. FMI Connect provides an excellent opportunity for all food-focused parties to learn about innovative solutions that solve long-term problems in the packaging market.
