TOMRA Sorting Food To Highlight Dynamic Duo At CFIA 2016

TOMRA Sorting Food will display two of its leading sensor-based systems at CFIA 2016, the QVision 500 fat analyzer and Sentinel II optical sorting machine.

Experts from TOMRA Sorting Food will be available on Booth 10, B22-C21, at Parc Expo, Rennes Airport, from March 8-10 to discuss the machines with processors and packers from across the industry.

The innovative QVision system can analyze both fresh and frozen meat and measures fat, moisture, protein and collagen simultaneously, and in real-time, delivering highly accurate and consistent results. The hygienic and robust analyzer penetrates up to 2.5cm deep into the meat and measures across the full 50cm width of its conveyor belt.

Designed specifically for the potato, tomato and peach processing industry, the state-of-the-art Sentinel II sorter is a highly efficient and cost-effective sorting solution. It can be configured to meet different specific requirements along the production line, offering processors a high degree of flexibility.

The sorter has a capacity range of up to 200 tons/hour making it the ideal solution for packers and processors seeking color, defect and foreign material control. It is able to generate statistic screens with product counts, defect data and size statistics. Users can be certain about a prime sorting result, while using the health check option in the machine, that assures technology is checked and set optimally.

Steve Raskin, TOMRA Sorting Food’s sales director for Europe, Middle East & Africa, says: “With its optional recipe editor, the QVision is the ideal choice for midsize manufacturers, particularly in the salami and chorizo business. Meanwhile, Sentinel II has been designed with ease-of-use in mind so that operators get the best value from their machine so food processors will appreciate the flexibility and efficiency that it brings to their production lines.

“Visitors to our booth at CFIA will be able to see both machines on display and ask questions directly to the TOMRA team about how they will benefit their processes.”
